Of course this is late, and to say we've been busy is to introduce the theme of the year: it seems like we've been busy for the last twelve months.

Mark continues to teach English in the higher grades at the international school, and he picked up a history class besides. Heini has spent most of the year working with Daniel and Sebastian. Those two have grown at an amazing rate. They are really boys now, able to express themselves clearly and with complexity, in both languages. They are funny, curious, energetic and imaginative.

And of course we welcomed Edward to our family on 18 November. He is doing well -- also growing at an alarming rate, and also developing his distinct personality. It's been busy keeping him well-fed and happy and keeping the rest of the family happy and healthy, but we're doing well. Looking back at 2007, and looking forward to the next year, we are filled with a sense of gratitude and joy.

Olemme olleet hieman kiireisiä, joten tämä tulee myöhässä... Itseasiassa se on ollut koko vuotemme teema: näyttää siltä, että olemme olleet kiireisiä viimeiset 12 kuukautta.

Mark jatkaa englannin kielen opettamista vanhimmille opiskelijoille kansainvälisessä koulussa ja aloitti syksyllä myös historian opettamisen. Heini on viettänyt suurimman osan vuodesta Danielin ja Sebastianin kanssa. Nuo kaksi ovat kasvaneet todella nopeasti ja paljon. He ovat nyt poikia, kykeneväisiä ilmaisemaan itseään selkeästi ja molemmilla kielillä. He ovat hauskoja, tiedonjanoisia, energisiä ja kekseliäitä.

18. marraskuuta toivotimme tervettulleeksi perheeseemme Edwardin. Hän voi hyvin --kasvaa myöskin hälyttävällä nopeudella ja hänen yksilöllinen persoonallisuutensa kehittyy kokoajan. Pysymme kiireisinä ruokkiessamme häntä ja pitämällä hänet onnellisena ja pitämällä muutkin perheenjäsenet onnellisena ja terveinä. Katsoessamme taaksepäin vuotta 2007 ja katsoessamme eteenpäin tunnemme suurenmoista kiitollisuutta ja iloa.
